Macbeth is one of the shortest tragedies done by William Shakespeare; still it is very knockout to have a film less than three hours. A Performance of Macbeth produced by Trevor Nunn had a simple approach towards the qualification of Macbeth. He recreated the play on a theatrical stage using every line from the original script. He didnt edit anything out, not even put any special effects into the film. Characters are portrayed as those from the renaissance; Macbeth didnt look like a King, let alone ordinance it. He looked like a common folk that was from a rich family.
When it came to special effects none were used. Not even when it came to Banquo, just another ordinary man; the film ha virtually no props what so ever. Cinematography was not used in any way, no zooming in or out, just shifting of the camera from left to right on the stage. The setting took place on a stage, all the lights sullen off and black curtains or background was used, the only lights that appeared whitethorn have been that from the camera during the filming. I was disappointed in the way this was directed.
