Report on Motivation indoors ******* ******* and shipway in which it may be improved.
Introduction
Motivation is a secernate component of any successful workforce. Mullins (2002) defines need as the thrust force that pushes people to achieve their goals.
I have been asked to compose a key out on motivation at bottom ******* ******* and hash out ways in which it may be improved. To achieve this objective, this report will be argued primarily from my own motivation and that of others indoors the department that I work, as my understanding of motivation within client Services is higher than my knowledge of other departments. I will seek to show how my motivation can be explained by some popular motivational theories and how motivation could be improved if these theories were more widely used within Customer Services and by my manager.
Analysis of Motivation
I currently notion very motivated by what I do within my role as xxxxxxxx. Why is that?
In 1954, Maslow defined motivation at work as being driven by multiple call for of an individual. He categorised these inescapably into a hierarchy of five levels.
Maslows Hierarchy of Needs
Maslow believed that as for each one level of needs were met, an individual would and so seek to sate their needs at the next highest level. Their lowest level of unmet needs would motivate individuals.
Whilst this is a theory that makes sense, and is still widely referred to, it weakens on the assumption that if lower needs are not met then an individual would not seek to satisfy needs at a higher level. I aspire to achieve needs at the levels of Esteem and Self -Actualism, whilst not necessarily intuitive feeling that my social and safety needs are fully satisfied. In light of the fact that ******* has recently acquired us, I can argue that my safety needs are somewhat vulnerable at the moment owing to the radical organisational changes that have been implemented.
