Historical Perspectives of Abnormal Psychology
Abnormal Psychology, defined as a branch of psychological science considered to be the topic of abnormal behavior. Abnormal psychology, also known as, psychopathology is the way ones behavior is abnormal. The way one sees abnormal may not be the way the people see it. In the prevail Abnormal Psychology, they use cardinal commonly used criteria to chequer whether behavior is normal or abnormal. The following are the five criteria: help seeking, irrationality/dangerous, deviance, emotional distress, and significant impairment.



By state if ones patient has any of the five criteria, one time can conclude that he or she has abnormal behavior.
