OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this study is to investigate the remunerations and progressions policies of Nigerian banks.
The research would analyse and evaluate the policy of some at random selected banks in Nigeria in relation to promotion and pay. The researchers aim is to find out if in that location is actually a policy in place, if so, whether this policy creates a balance or imbalance between male / womanly managers on how they ar been paid and promoted? If imbalanced what could be the reasons? , otherwise is there a culture or trend the banks rather adhere to and why? The researcher would also like to find out if there are government policies affecting the banks pertaining to these issues and what the consequences are when not nice?.
Basically, the researcher is interested in finding out whether a salary differential does exist between the male and female managers in Nigerian banks and if there is an impediment to career suppuration based on gender differences or such colligate issues?.
Furthermore, the researcher seeks to compare the banking policies in Nigeria as a growing country with developed nations like Ireland in terms of the promotion and pay of male/female managers.
