The funeral service program has brought to me a different olfaction at what pricing and planning a funeral really costs. I had the opportunity to collect habitual Price Lists from three different funeral homes in the atomic number 18a, and lay down found that even though they ar not that far apart from each other the prices squirt differ in what they have to offer. Having had to pay for two funerals in the past, I guess when you are going through the suffer process, it seems as though the price didnt matter, because honestly, I shamt really remember viewing a General Price List at either time. Now that I am learning what the planning is all about, I have gained some valuable self-awareness of pricing!
The first funeral home that I went to visit and get their General Price List, (GPL), was the one that I will be doing my practicum; Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery. This is a pleasing place where all services are provided on-site. The cost of their elementary Profession Services is $1,645. The preparation services which would include embalming ($675.), washing, dressing and casketing ($180.
), special care of an autopsied body ($180.), restoration (when necessary, $180), and refrigeration (required on all unembalmed bodies, $300.). The price of cremation, with the on-site crematory is $400. There are so legion(predicate) services that I really never thought about, that when seen in black and white and on paper, engender sense. When you begin to look at the type of service you trust to have for your loved one the fees begin to add up.
The many Burial Service Packages that are available, would include, but not extra to the Traditional Chapel Service at Ponte Vedra Valley, for $3975.00 versus the Traditional church service Service for $4445.
