At the dawn of civilization, the humans seemed to be a smaller place. As with any other area where one large convocation of pile resided, that was their world. Sooner than later, people feel the need to further knowledge, and go out and explore. To these people, the world was as big as they knew it; that is until they found other civilizations. This was the start of trade. Each civilization had its induce food, language, and way of living, all to which was shared once trade was started among civilizations. The sea brought a new challenge though. Once discovered, nautical trade paved the way to religious expansion, and the clash of cultures. It helped people learn new languages, spread religions, and muster up new luxuries. It attached countries together to form one of the fastest growing world markets. Maritime trade was and is the most influential reason that religions and civilizations expanded.
Religions at the beginning were only exclusive to the civilizations they were dressd in. The start of marine trade helped religions such as Buddhism and Islam spread more apace than expected, and at branch it wasn’t the ease of traveling by sea so much as the natural requisite for religions such as Buddhism to spread.
