This report discusses in detail urban life in Astoria. Astoria is a neighborhood located in queen, one of the louver boroughs of New York City. Its exact location is in the Northwestern boxful of Queens. It is bounded by the East River and three other Queenss neighborhoods: Long Island City, Sunnyside, and Woodside.
Astorias history began around 1659 and was before named Hallets Cove after its first landowner William Halle. At the germ of 19th century big houses were constructed around 12th and fourteenth streets by affluent New Yorkers and later the area was named Astoria liquidation after John Jacob Astor.
